The Guidelines: Lecturer Evaluation System

This book provides a comprehensive guideline for the Lecturer Evaluation System (LES), a web-based platform developed for the Faculty of Social Sciences and Languages at Sabaragamuwa University of Sri Lanka. The system addresses the inefficiencies of manual, paper-based feedback collection, such as human error, misplaced forms, and delayed analysis by fully automating the evaluation process. The LES enhances accuracy, ensures student anonymity to promote honest feedback, and provides lecturers with prompt access to analytical summaries and graphical reports for continuous teaching improvement. Beyond operational efficiency, the initiative supports university-wide sustainability by transitioning to a paperless, digital process. This manual serves as a pilot framework for potential expansion across all university faculties and provides detailed, step-by-step instructions for four primary user groups: Administrators, Department Operators, Lecturers, and Students.
